New Buddies for Forsaken Art Objects
This new grouping will be added to the Forsaken Art objects. I have been picking up small vintage items for the past 2 years. Just wondering what I would do with these. With a little love and a twist of fate, we have 3d original sculpture.

Be Thankful!! - Family Love
Thanksgiving: Have you every really thought why we should be happy and thankful... every day. First: Family Love, well if you don't have this little gem... you have started on the wrong path. I think this a first step for your health, attitude, and what you make of your self. I have had my share of set backs, bad days, serious issues, just as every one else. But I always have had a great family, the Lord, by birth and marriage, and friends. They help pick you up and dust you off... so you can get back on track.
I have been picked up several times and dusted off, but look at me now.. an successful folk artist. (didn't see that coming..lol) But loving it and knowing it started with "FAMILY LOVE"
So be Thankful today.. for we are all Blessed!

Many shows and Great Customers
It has been a busy 3 weeks. In between Mt.Airy, NC, Caton, Ms. and Fairhope, Al, I believe I have lost track of time and distance. North Carolina was beautiful with all the fall leaves changing. Mississippi was hot and dusty, with Fairhope was cool and perfect. Beside the distance between each state, I came across some wonderful folks! My customers were a cool crowd. I just had to take a few photos just to show them off!!

Belinda and Norman has a great antique shop in Arab, Alabama. Not only does she have quality pieces at good prices, she has the talent to paint any piece what color you need. If you will notice 75% of my furniture it just that... vintage pieces that are scuffed up in mint green. I love it!! That touch make my studio a little more special.
If I didn't get my furniture in "Belinor " of Arab, Alabama... the other pieces came from "Dry Creek Antiques" of Cleavland, Al. Another great shop that has quailty pieces at good prices. Jerri... from Jerri Junque ... will show every thing with a great story to add!

The official announcement
Yellow Daisy Festival
2010 Featured Artist
With the love of discarded, rusty, worn or “just beat up a little a bit”, Marian Baker, the 2010 Yellow Daisy Festival featured artist, loves old materials that have character. Marian, who hails from Oneonta, Alabama had this to say in regards to her work:
“I am an artist that loves the re-purpose of every day materials. Finding the new value of discarded material, should be the purpose for everyone. In the days of “recycle or green", I do not use any traditional materials.”
This contemporary folk art work is created with oil pastels, acrylics and charcoal pencil. Vintage paper is adhered to game boards or cigar boxes. Each piece is painted, stamped, distressed and then sealed with layers of wax. 95% of Marian’s work is on recycled materials and each piece is original art.
Having already received such a positive response from guests and galleries, Marian plans to leave the corporate world this summer and start a new path in the arts. “I feel as if I have been on a long sleep and just have woken up.”
The Yellow Daisy Festival is proud of what this year’s featured artwork represents. Not only is it a creative way to reinvent old materials but it also encompasses the tradition of the Yellow Daisy Shopper. We are all “Daisy Chicks” at heart!

The exhibit was a balanced mixture of wall hanging and assemblages. I received honorable mention with my wall hanging of "Dream the Impossible"
